We classify (m + n)D warped product spaces (M¯ , ¯g) satisfying Einstein’s equation G¯ = −Λ¯ g¯.We show that the warping function f can determine not only the cosmological constant Λ¯ but also the cosmological constant Λ appearing in induced Einstein’s equation G = −Λh on (M2, h). Moreover, we discuss the origin of the 4D cosmological constant as an emergent effect of higher dimensional warped spaces. Published by AIP Publishing. [
