Abstract

In this study, we delve into the rich geometric structure of the Vaidya family of spacetimes by investigating a spectrum of symmetries encoded in various vector fields. Our analysis encompasses and classifies a diverse set of symmetry types, including Killing, homothetic, and affine Killing vector fields, as well as Ricci, curvature, Weyl, and matter collineations. By systematically examining these symmetries, we uncover deeper insights into the underlying geometry and physical properties of radiating spacetimes, offering a comprehensive framework for their classification and interpretation.
