In the present work, we investigate the electromagnetic response of a new type of meta-material. A lattice of periodically arranged close-packed square conducting rings has been studied for this purpose. In our structure, collective feature results in magnetic activity. The absorption of this structure is smaller due to the fact that the imaginary part of the permeability is not resonantly enhanced.
