Today, various forms of renewable energy are experiencing significant growth in energy production and power systems due to biological and economic considerations. The diminishing accessibility of fossil fuel resources and the escalating greenhouse gas emissions have expedited the adoption of renewable energy worldwide. This paper aims to examine various renewable energy technologies, such as solar, ocean, hydrogen, water, wind, biomass, geothermal, and bioenergy, shedding light on their respective advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, it will conduct a comparative analysis of these technologies from both economic and energy perspectives. The utilization and electricity production from renewable resources vary across countries due to differing weather conditions, but hydropower remains a prevalent means of electricity generation on a global scale.
