In this investigation, Pr2Zr2O7 nanostructures prepared through a novel facile sol-gel way. The role of some preparation factors was examined to reach optimum condition. Results of this work reveal that shape as well as grain size of the Pr2Zr2O7 could be considerably influenced with these factors. The as-obtained Pr2Zr2O7 nanostructures were characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDS and XRD. According to the obtained findings, it was found that with the aid of this novel way can be produced uniform Pr2Zr2O7 nanostructures with sphere-like shape. The photocatalyst efficiency of as-produced Pr2Zr2O7 nanostructures was also evaluated with degradation of the organic dye under UV light illumination.
