In this study, nanostructured dysprosium tin oxide was synthesized through a new and easy pathway. To find the optimal conditions for the production of nanostructured dysprosium tin oxide, the role of some synthesis parameters was evaluated. Results of this investigation indicated that the size and shape of nanostructured dysprosium tin oxide were notably affected by the examined parameters. The as-formed dysprosium tin oxide were characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDS and XRD. Based on our findings, it was found that with the help of this new pathway can be produced nanostructured dysprosium tin oxide with appropriate homogeneity. Besides, the photocatalyst activity of as-produced dysprosium tin oxide was examined through removal of the organic pollution under visible light.
