Abstract

For CeO2-based nanostructured materials, controllable synthesis is an important issue for environmental and energy applications. For highly active catalysts, it is very important to synthesize with the desired morphology. These materials are of great interest in the field of energy and environment due to the improvement of redox properties, transport properties and high surface-to-volume ratio. And they are widely used in clean energy, environmental protection and reform. CeO2 is one of the most studied metal oxides. This substance has no biological role in humans and is not very toxic. Most of the applications of CeO2 are the rapid formation and elimination of oxygen vacancies in the limit in this material, which gives it a high oxygen storage capacity. In this research, we tried to provide an overview of current research developments in the field of controllable synthesis of CeO2 with different morphologies, their unique properties, as well as some typical applications and theoretical studies.
