In this research, bismoth cerate nano powders were produced by a novel and facile approach. To find the optimal conditions for the creation of bismoth cerate nanoparticles, the role of some preparation parameters was examined. Results of this research exhibited that the size and morphology of bismoth cerate nanoparticles were remarkably affected by the studied parameters. The as-fabricated bismoth cerate nanoparticles were characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDS and XRD. Based on the obtained results, it was found that with the aid of this new approach can be created bismoth cerate nanoparticles with relatively favourable homogeneity. Furthermore, the photocatalyst performance of as-created bismoth cerate nanoparticles was evaluated by elimination of the organic contamination under visible light.
