In this study, ceramic praseodymium cerate nano powders were synthesized via a new and facile way. To find the optimal conditions for the synthesis of ceramic praseodymium cerate nanoparticles, the role of some preparation parameters was evaluated. Results of this study illustrated that the size and morphology of praseodymium cerate nanoparticles were remarkably affected by the studied parameters. The as-produced praseodymium cerate nanoparticles were characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDS and XRD. Based on the obtained results, it was found that with the aid of this new approach can be created spher-like praseodymium cerate nanoparticles with desirable homogeneity. Also, the photocatalyst performance of as-synthesized praseodymium cerate nanoparticles were studied by elimination of the organic contamination under visible light.
