In this research, nanostructured CeO2 was prepared by a new and simple green chemistry route. The role of some preparation factors was checked to reach optimum condition. Outcome of this study show that shape and size of the CeO2 could be substantially influenced by these factors. The as-synthesized nanostructured CeO2 were characterized whit FT-IR, FESEM and XRD. According to the obtained outcomes, it was found that with the help of this new route can be prepared homogeneous nanostructured CeO2. The photocatalyst performance of as-synthesized nanostructured CeO2 was also checked by elimination of the organic pollutant under visible light.
