In this investigation, praseodymium cerium oxide nanoparticles were prepared by a new and facile approach. To find the optimal conditions for the preparation of ppraseodymium cerium oxide sample, the role of some preparation parameters was checked. Results of this research illustrated that the size and morphology of praseodymium cerium oxide sample were remarkably affected by the examined parameters. The as-made praseodymium cerium oxide sample were characterized by FT-IR, FESEM, EDS and XRD. Based on the obtained results, it was found that with the aid of this new method may be prepared sponge-like praseodymium cerium oxide sample with desirable homogeneity. Also, the photocatalyst performance of as-produced praseodymium cerium oxide sample were examined by elimination of the organic contamination under visible light.
