Abstract

In this research, four different steel specimens from a production line of hot-rolled ribbed high-strength rebars were chosen from different stands based on their thickness reduction. The EBSD and x-ray diffraction techniques were utilized to do macro- and micro-texture measurements. According to the results, the volume fraction of Goss component was increased by the increase in hot-rolling process, then it decreased by further increase in rolling numbers and finally reached its highest amount in the final product. The highest volume fraction of misorientation angle belonged to the ranges of 40–45 and 45–50 degrees in all tested specimens. Moreover, the number of subgrains was increased with the increase in the number of hot rolling process and reached its maximum in the final product. There were many substructured and recrystallized spots in the final product showing that the stored energy of deformation in the final specimen is lower than other specimens.
