In this paper, the Lie symmetry analysis method are performed for EW equation. The symmetry generators are used for constructing similarity variables which lead to reduced system of equations with one independent variable less at each step and eventually to a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). We determine the Lie point symmetry vector fields and calculate similarity. Finally the optimal system of EW equation is constructed.
